GABRIEL FAURÉ/ANASTASIA RIZIKOV- APRÈS UN RÊVE

The repertoire I chose for this CD is very personal to me as it defines who I am as an artist: unpredictable and passionate, both onstage and off.

Indeed, it is daring to combine two of the most unsurmountable pieces for piano- Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit and Agosti’s arrangement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite- but I have always been a risk-taker, and it has always payed off.

Combining these works with Satie’s paradoxically simple Gnossiennes, along with small but emotionally intense pieces of Rachmaninoff takes the auditor on an experience rich in musical contrasts and textures.
